Privacy Policy

App: GridClash
Operator: CODEHAVEN LLC.

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This page is the public privacy policy for GridClash, a casual board game for Android and iOS. It is written in plain language and describes what we actually do today. An in-app summary also exists; this hosted page is the one for store listings.

1. Who we are

GridClash is operated by CODEHAVEN LLC.

You can reach us at gridclash.support@gmail.com.

We offer GridClash as a mobile game. You can play as a guest on your device. Optional sign-in and cloud save use Google services when you choose them.

2. Information we collect

Guest / local play

If you play without signing in, we store the following on your device only:

Guest play works offline. We do not upload this guest copy to our cloud until you sign in.

If you sign in with Google

Sign-in is optional. You never have to sign in to play.

If you choose Sign in with Google, we may receive from Google:

We then save cloud progress using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) so it can follow you to another device. That cloud copy can include:

If you are signed in, your chosen display name and personal best / fastest win may appear on in-app leaderboards visible to other signed-in players.

If you play an online private room, we store the room code, board, whose turn it is, and the participant account ids for that match. Guests cannot play online.

Payments

We do not collect or store payment card numbers.

If we offer optional in-app purchases later, they are processed by Google Play or the App Store. Those stores handle payment details under their own policies. We do not receive your card number.

In-app purchases and ads are not in the current build. If we add them, we will update this policy.

Crash and analytics

We do not include a third-party crash or analytics SDK (for example Firebase Crashlytics or Google Analytics).

The operating system or store (such as Google Play) may collect crash or device information under their policies. We do not operate a separate analytics or crash-reporting stream beyond those platform defaults.

We do not store passwords. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

We do not use guest-only data for an online account. We do not use your email as your public leaderboard name.

4. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the features you use:

We do not sell personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law, a valid legal request, or to protect users or the service.

Google and the stores have their own privacy policies for data they process as independent services.

5. Retention and deletion

On-device (guest) data stays until you clear app storage, reset stats in Settings, or uninstall the app.

Cloud data (if you signed in) stays in Firebase until we delete it. Uninstalling the app does not wipe cloud data. Signing out does not wipe the copy already on the device, and it does not automatically delete the cloud copy.

Account deletion is not yet a button in the app. To request deletion of your account and cloud progress, email gridclash.support@gmail.com from the address associated with the account and ask us to delete it. We will delete or anonymize the Firebase account and the related users progress record when we can identify it.

6. Children

GridClash is intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal data through an account feature, contact us at gridclash.support@gmail.com and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for network traffic to Google services.

Cloud progress is stored under the signed-in account. Production rules are meant to let a player write only their own record. Signed-in players may read other players’ public profile fields used for leaderboards (display name and scores — not email).

No system is perfect. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The Last updated date at the top will change when we do.

If we add Sign in with Apple, ads, or purchases, we will describe those practices here before or when they ship.

Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
